What We Accomplish Together

Give your customer one coordinated path from stopped leak to restored property.

You resolve the source issue and remain the trusted service relationship. We take ownership of mitigation, documentation, customer care, and the restoration work that follows.

  1. 1

    Make the introduction

Send us the customer and loss details through the routing path your team prefers.

  2. 2

    Stay connected

We contact your customer, assess the damage, and keep your designated contacts informed.

  3. 3

    Keep the trade work

Your company receives the follow-up plumbing or HVAC repairs while NFR completes the agreed restoration scope.

NFR Water Security Partnership

Turn one water-loss referral into paid installation work and a customer relationship that lasts.

For every qualifying referral NFR completes, we pay your company to install a Moen Flo system. You keep the labor and hardware margin, then have the opportunity to add recurring monitoring revenue.

A partnership that pays you twice

Steady referral income. Recurring revenue. Customers for life.

NFR turns a one-time referral into a fully funded water-security installation. You earn from the install and gain a practical way to stay connected to the homeowner.

The missed opportunity

Every water-damage call you walk away from leaves revenue and a customer relationship on the table.

After the repair, most plumbers lose contact with the customer until the next emergency, often five years later or never. The relationship goes cold just when it should be getting started.

Why the old model fails

Cash referral fees are a dead end for you and your customers.

01

Zero lasting value

The cash is spent once, while the customer relationship still goes cold. There is no recurring revenue or durable connection.

02

Ethical scrutiny

Industry associations, including UPHCA, have publicly questioned cash referral fees, especially when they are absorbed into insurance estimates.

03

Carrier scrutiny

Carriers are increasingly reviewing inflated claims. Any company connected to questionable referral practices takes on avoidable reputation risk.

The better exchange

We fund a Moen Flo install for every qualifying sold referral you send.

Instead of paying a one-time cash fee, NFR funds your full $1,529 retail package so your company can install a Moen Flo Smart Water Monitor & Shutoff for the referred customer.

  1. 1

    The workflow

You send NFR the water-damage opportunity. NFR mitigates and restores the property. After completion, NFR funds the Moen Flo installation at your established price.

  2. 2

You get paid to install it

NFR pays for the installation at your established price. You keep 100% of the labor revenue and hardware margin.

  3. 3

    The customer win

The homeowner receives a $1,529 smart water-security system at zero out-of-pocket cost: a premium gift tied directly to your company.

A simple handoff for your team

How the partnership works day to day

Your technician makes one call. NFR handles the restoration process, keeps the referral visible, and sends the funded installation back to your company.

  1. 1

    Identify and call

You find water damage during a service call and contact NFR through the dedicated partner line.

  2. 2

    Rapid dispatch and administration

NFR dispatches quickly, often while you are still on site, and handles the restoration documentation and estimates, and can communicate with the insurer about the work with the owner’s permission.

  3. 3

The restoration job funds the install

When the qualifying restoration project is sold and completed, NFR funds a Moen Flo installation for your crew.

  4. 4

    Install and enroll

Your team installs the device, offers your monitoring membership, and provides the homeowner with the documentation needed to ask their carrier about available savings.

  5. 5

Keep the customer and the repair work

NFR sends plumbing and HVAC repair opportunities from the restoration project back to your company. We handle restoration and do not compete for that trade work.

The compounding opportunity

Turn every install into $240–$360 of annual recurring revenue.

Monitoring memberships are already established in the plumbing market. A Water Security membership gives customers ongoing value while keeping your company connected to every alert and service need.

Market benchmark: Goettl’s Phoenix “Smart Sadie” monitoring membership is listed at $19.95 per month, while typical plumbing clubs run approximately $19–$25 per month nationally.

Carrier-recognized protection

Install hardware insurers already recognize, discount, and increasingly require.

Paid-claim frequency

A LexisNexis study reported a 96% reduction in paid water-damage claim frequency and a 72% reduction in severity for homes with Moen Flo.

$400–$500/yr

Potential premium savings

Program materials identify discounts or rebates from carriers including Travelers, Chubb, Liberty Mutual, Nationwide, Farmers, American Family, and Amica.

2026

Expanding requirements

Program materials state that Mercury requires leak detection on qualifying new HO-3 policies beginning May 2026, while Farmers has a direct partnership with Moen.

Carrier availability, eligibility, requirements, rebates, and savings vary by state, policy, property, and installation. Confirm current terms directly with the applicable insurer.

One referral, four business outcomes

Build an income stream that strengthens the customer relationship.

01

Steady install revenue

A fully funded Moen Flo package for every qualifying referral creates predictable installation work and hardware margin.

02

Recurring membership income

Build a $20–$30 monthly Water Security membership around monitoring, alerts, and service.

03

Customers for life

Stay connected through monthly monitoring touchpoints, route every service alert back to your team, and receive reciprocal plumbing referrals from NFR’s independent job flow.

04

Market positioning

Become an insurance-recognized water-security installer as carrier demand continues to grow.

From Our Customers

See the service your customers can expect

“I had a water leak coming into my bedroom floor from an unknown source. Two plumbers could not diagnose the source. National First was able to come up with a plan to find the leak. Under the window they opened up a section of the sheetrock of the wall beneath the window. Water was sprayed outside of the window and some leaks were verified coming in below the window. Apparently, a few weeks earlier I had a bad rain storm and the wind was forcing the rain to come in below the window. It was determined that the WINDOW SEAL had failed or that there was not one installed. The plan was to pull out the window, reseal the window, reinstall it, re-sheetrock the open space, repaint the room, re-stucco the outside wall around the window, and repaint the outside wall. The carpet and carpet pad were replaced. It took several weeks to coordinate different contractors to perform all the specialty work. I was very pleased with the craftmanship and detail the workers did on the whole project. The estimate for the repair was right on spot. I had a few extra expenses for work I requested to be done that was not in the original estimate. I would recommend National First for any job relating to home repair.”

“I'm a recent 84 year old widow and out of my "Flooding Tragedy" came the wonderful staff of NFR. They took over to coordinate, and provide guidance and support throughout the whole restoration. They negottiated with insurance to provide the best possible outcome and EVERYONE treated me with concern and respect and took the time to explain every detail. From demolition to the final painting, nothing was overlooked. They extended themselves far beyound all my expectations. They made it possible for me to return to a beautifully restored home without any glitches or stress. My thanks to Vinnie, Mitigation Mgr., Cody, Estimator, Nick & Saia, Water Mitigation, Andrew & Omar, Amazing Reconstruction, John & Tristan, Fabuloous painters, and to Matt, Project Mgr, who made everything work without fail. Thanks to an amazing company that really cares about the customer an treats you like family!!!!! Forever Gratefull, Diane Loven”
